I'm sure that some people reading this are appalled at the idea. When considering joining a business of this sort you want to be careful because there are a lot of fly-by-night businesses. Things you can do to protect yourself are: Talk with the owner and see if you feel that he/she is legit. Do they have a limited time offer? If so run far, far away. How long has the company been around and what is their history? Can you join for free? If you can join for free and not put any of your hard earned money at risk you really have nothing to worry about.
Watch out for pyramid scams. A pyramid is an impossible scenario that creates a bad situation for anyone at the bottom of it. If you bought into a pyramid at the bottom, your money would be split by everyone above you.
Suppose there are 2000 people above you in the pyramid and you spent $100.00, not going to work is it? How ever there is a structure called multi-tier and it caps out usually at 3 members some times up to 10 members. In this situation if you have recruited a member and they have recruited a member you make a percentage from their sales but it stops after 3 members. You won't make a percentage from the 4th member's sale. Only if the members in the second and third-tier make sales will you get a percentage. Multi-tier structure has passed the test of time in many big businesses.
What if a company that raises money for charity and makes you money for your efforts at the same time doesn't want money up front for starting with them? And on top of that offers you free products. Sounds like a dream doesn't it? I have always thought that if a company said they could make me rich why would I have to spend money to get started? If they are so rich why can't they get me started and make money off of my earnings? Well it may seem like a dream but in fact it is a reality. They are far and few between, but they do exist. You just have to spend sometime searching for them.
So now you have a few ideas of what MLM is about and what you can do to stay safe. Just be careful of what you decide to do with your precious time and hard earned money. Take your time ask questions wait a while and then decide, don't just jump into the first business that sounds legit. Do some ground work, figure the facts and then go from there. There is a lot of money to be made on the internet. There is a lot of money to be lost on the internet too. So be wise in your decision.
